Todays outfit - a whole lot of navy and Elizabeth Taylor style jewels.
The weather has started to turn slightly in Newcastle, autumn is unfortunatley just around the corner. With that in mind i have started to make the transition, this year isnt proving so hard as it seems summer never even really began. Although i am not ready for the cold weather, i am ready to embrace the new season and all the beautiful fashion its set to bring. My highlights are luxurious fabrics, brocade, flock and velvet. Flat shoes making a welcomed return, leather everything, the pairing of navy and black and colbalt blue.

My trip to Italy seems like a lifetime ago and i intended to share pics of my time there well before now. I visited several cities over my two weeks and had such an amazing time. I fell head over heels for Italy last year, if you havent visited make sure you put it on your bucket list. With hundreds of images infront of me, i've  decided to break them down into each city so i can also share with you any tips and must sees.

I only spent a short time in Pisa so i dont have alot of recommendations but my main one is this. Make sure you check out the market stalls which line The River Arno. There is alot to look at, both second hand and new. Furniture, jewellery, clothing, books and art. I could have literally spent hours rummaging and if i had known about it beforehand, would have taken an empty suitcase! I bought some beautiful pearl drop earrings but some of the second hand furniture was absolutley amazing.
I am not sure if this market is always there or if it is only on at certain times of the month and we hit lucky. It is quite a long stretch and begins roughly where Via Santa Maria joins the river front.
For a light breakfast, coffee or sweet treat make sure you stop by Cafe I Miracoli on the corner of Via Santa Maria opposite The Leaning Tower. They have an amazing selection of cakes and pastries for great prices. My favourite for an espresso, salmon and caviar croissant at the bar and an amazing view of the tower.

...Wang This Way

Dogtooth & Sheer Bomber Jacket - H&M
Sheer Tshirt - H&M
Tailored Shorts - H&M
Pointed Heels - River Island
Tote Bag - Mulberry

…With the whirlwind that was the London 2012 Olympics over and out and the Paralympics on the horizon. It seems the summer of sport has more than made an impression on me and my wardrobe.  Reflecting on my outfits of late, quite a few have included elements of sportswear in some shape or form.

Yesterdays day of shopping and lunch with the mother was the perfect opportunity to wear this outfit of tailored shorts, sheer and dogtooth. Maybe a little Wang inspired with the shorts and bomber silhouette. Alexander Wang has been one of my favourites for a few years running now. I love the athletic and slightly masculine designs which he has become known for and his AW12 collection is a killer!
The outfit includes two more sale bargains (If you follow my blog you will know i have picked up a few this summer!). The bomber and sheer tee were absolute steals from H&M and will definitley be making their way into my AW wardrobe too.

...High Summer

Paisley Dress - ZARA
Colbalt Blue Bag - Mulberry
Jewelled Earrings - H&M
Knit & PVC Sandals - Missoni

...First off apologies for my lack of posting of late. Last week i stayed with one of my close friends in London and we tried to cram in as much as we possibly could! I had a wonderful time, tea at Laduree, visit to the Olympic Park, train ride to Brighton beach and plenty of retail therapy. I will get some pics up soon but in the mean time an outfit post from yesterday. ( You can follow me on Instagram for quicker updates  lisa_shoesand )

Finally it feels like summer here in Newcastle and walking around town in a shift dress and sandals never felt so good.
This dress was ANOTHER Zara sale bargain, i've managed to snap up quite a few this season i know. A beautiful bright shade of orange with a striking paisley pattern and blatantly inspired by Stella McCartneys AW12 collection. It was such a bargain, i bought it in a royal blue colour too which i plan to wear into the winter with elbow length black leather gloves.

But for now, may the sunny days long continue!
