...Less is most definitley more

Calvin Klein Collection SS12
Make sure you head over to www.style.com to see the collection in motion

....So i began editing pics from the Calvin klein SS12 Collection for this post and i cant say i was suprised when i couldnt whittle them down to less than 10.
After Francisco Costas SS11 Collection i was slightly scepticle as to wether his future collections for the brand would give me such excitement, thankfully he pulled it out the bag again! The collection was true to Calvin Kleins minamilistic brand identity but this time around less sculptural. Instead he showcased feminine, sensual silhouttes and nodded to the brands underwear empire with slip-like dresses, dressing gown style coats and sheer bodice details. He kept the colour palette neutral in nude, oyster, silver and blush tones with a hint of black to top it off.
I can honestly say i would wear every single piece in this collection, it is quite simply beautiful!
I  will be keeping my fingers crossed for inspired pieces onto the highstreet next year...buyers pleeease take note!

....Joan Of Arc

Joan Smalls Elle Magazine October 2011

....Joan Smalls looks absolutley mind blowing in this editorial for Elle UK!
I love the military vibe of this shoot contrasted with elegant 70's styling and the sexiness of Miss Smalls. The puerto ricans beauty was almost enough to put me off my lunch, she oozes sex appeal and her face is utter perfection...and the fact she is only 23 makes me sick to my stomach...give me those legs...and the face for that matter!

...New York Fashion Week is in full swing and i am well and truly glued to my laptop screen! The first candid shots are surfacing from some of the worlds best street style bloggers and they are devine! Fashion blogger Hannelli(top) looks stunning in a grass green split maxi and is sporting one of my absolute favourite shoes of the season by Alexander Wang. One of Wangs stand-out runway looks is being rocked in the second pic, the dress which is being worn under the jumper is again one of my favourite pieces of the season, perfect colour, perfect material, just perfect Wang. My love affair with Mr Wang continues tonight when i will be watching the screening of his SS12 show at 10pm (UK Time), cant bloody wait!

Studs & Stilettos

Studded Blazer - Zara
Mens Shirt - H&M
Ripped Jeans - H&M
Pointed Stilettos - Zara
Clutch Bag - Topshop

....An androgynous look i wore to coffee with friends followed by dinner with the boyfriend. The studded blazer i am wearing is so heavy it like wearing armour but i think its definitley worth carrying the extra weight! I dressed it down with some ripped jeans and feminized the look with pointed white stilettos. The shirt i am wearing is actually a mens one i scored in H&Ms sale earlier in the year. It makes me giggle everytime i wear it as it actually looks identical to my boyfriends work uniform.Autumn has well and truly begun here in Newcastle, although i'm not sure if we ever truly had a summer this year! Good job i am jetting off to Egypt in 2 weeks to get my last dose of vitamin D :)

Vita Yang illustrations via Trendland.com

....So today is the beginning of New York Fashion Week 2011!
How i wish i was going to even one of the shows this season...in any of the capitals! Instead i will be working then heading to Egypt for a 2 week break, which i feel in desperate need of. I wont be checking out from reality completley though, i will have my laptop, camera and blackberry at the ready to keep updated with all the shows and of course snap plenty of outfit pics. Before all of that, let me share with you some beautiful fashion illustrations by Taiwanese illustrator Vita Yang. My favourite is of course the one of Freja Beha Erichsen :)
